Checkout for Change
The following is information to help customer's and visitor's understand our charity donation checkout process. Checkout for change
YOU CHOOSE, WE PAY
Our mission
We believe in the ability that combined, both the seller and consumer can make a difference in the world with our transactions. No matter how big or small the transaction, every bit helps. This is why we have set up our checkout for change checkout process.
Below you will find a clear outline of the donation process, how it works, as well as a list of the charities we have chosen to support through Pledgeling. Pledgeling is a recognized third-party donation platform that ensures accountability & transparency throughout the donation process. This is a Shopify (our merchant platform) approved app. That way everyone can rest assured the money we donate based on your choosing is accounted for and reaches it's proper destination.
We sincerely want to make a difference and ask that you help.
- How to donate: at checkout you can select one of the approved charities or causes you feel passionate about and direct the amount we pay for towards it. Or simply don’t choose and the 5% will be divided among the charities equally. We appreciate your business and value the world in which we share. So together let’s make a difference!
- You choose, we pay, then Pledgeling’s installed charity checkout platform who has full access to our collected donations will withdrawal the allocated funds from us every 30 days. This will then be distributed quarterly to the selected charities.
The list of trusted charities you can choose from at checkout are:
Food Bank of the Southern Tier
The Food Bank of the Southern Tier is committed to creating a future without hunger where access to healthy food by all is recognized as fundamental to the well-being and success of individuals and the foundation of a strong, vibrant society.
Children's Miracle Network
More than 10 million kids enter a children’s hospital across North America every year. To provide the best care for kids, children’s hospitals rely on donations and community support, as Medicaid and insurance programs do not fully cover the cost of care. Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has helped fill those funding gaps by raising more than $7 billion, most of it $1 at a time through Miracle Balloon icon campaigns. Its various fundraising partners and programs support the nonprofit’s mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Tompkins County SPCA
The mission of the SPCA of Tompkins County, located in Ithaca, NY, is to protect companion animals. We are a no-kill shelter dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and overpopulation. We promote responsible pet stewardship by providing education, counseling and training to nurture and enhance the human-animal bond.
Thanks again, together we can make a difference.
